Welcome! Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed:)

If you are reading this right now, you either know me, or.... you have stumbled into unknown territory. Watch your step, it could be slippery! Today was spent @ Art City Coffee, located in Springville Utah:) I went there to say my goodbyes to Clay Olsen (Owner of the shop. Be sure to follow Clay's Blog about his exciting adventures up north as he lives like a homeless man for a year.) While standing in the coffee shop reminiscing I, for just a split second, lost conciseness. Let me back track a little so you can fully appreciate this experience....Months ago I had surgery to remove a large tumor at the base of my brain. The tumor had been pushing against my brain stem and squeezed along side my spinal cord, from which the residual effects have made for a tedious recovery. Art City Coffee has been a nice place to visit while I have been healing. Now... if it didn't come so easy, it would appear as if Clay and I worked really hard at mocking each other. He regularly points out how cheap I am and often fits into conversations the fact that I have been divorced five times. I know, I know, it's pretty funny. Well, in return, I highlight his extreme self love as well as the dead animal on his face (he calls a beard) and never let him forget that if I cared about quality.... I would not be there! So, back to today... As we were reminiscing, all of a sudden, everything went into slow motion and I fell backwards. My head barely missing the counter, I fell to the floor. The point of this story isn't my falling, but, the expression on Clay's face! He yelped in fear ...."Dan! Are you alright?!!!" He didn't have time to plan one of his traditional mockeries. This had to have been a visceral, emotional call out of genuine concern for a friend. Today I have felt awful after falling, but, I'm O.K. because I found out that Clay truly cares!!! (Not near as much as he cares about himself, of course.) You know.... I have a faint memory of Clay attempting to catch me as I fell, but, now that my mind has cleared a little, I think he may have been pushing me! Ahhhhh!
